Information on the processing of personal data of users of the ProfiMed website

Pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR” or “Regulation”), ProfiMed S.r.l. provides this notice regarding the processing of personal data carried out by the company during users' (“Users”) navigation on its website (“Site”). This processing will be in compliance with the provisions of the Regulation and Legislative Decree 196/2003 and subsequent amendments and additions (“Privacy Code”) and carried out through the use of cookies, as outlined in the cookie policy.

1. DATA CONTROLLER AND CONTACT INFORMATION

The Data Controller is ProfiMed S.r.l., with its registered office at Via P.F. Moia 86/90, 20861 Brugherio (MB), VAT number 07688980155, which can be contacted via email at info@profimed.it (“ProfiMed,” the “Company,” or the “Data Controller”).

2. CATEGORIES OF PERSONAL DATA PROCESSED

The Data Controller processes the data collected during the User's navigation on the Site, namely the following browsing data: IP address of the computer, time of access to the Site, pages of the Site visited, the URIs (Uniform Resource Identifiers) of the requested resources, and other parameters related to the User’s operating system and IT environment.

The processing of data voluntarily provided by Users (email address and/or any other personal data provided through the completion of contact forms or newsletter registration forms on the Site) is governed by the notices available on the relevant pages of the Site.
The data is collected through technical cookies installed on the Site.

3. PURPOSE OF THE PROCESSING AND LEGAL BASIS

The personal data of Users will be processed to enable the use of the content offered by the Site, and in particular:

a) To ensure the correct functioning and constant maintenance of the Site;

b) To allow the User to navigate the Site and interact with various sections and pages of the Site, such as contact forms and newsletter registration forms.

The legal basis for the processing is the legitimate interest of ProfiMed in ensuring the proper functioning of the Site (Art. 6, para. 1, lit. f) GDPR).
Providing data for the indicated purposes is necessary to use the services offered by the Site.

4. SCOPE OF CIRCULATION AND RECIPIENTS OF PERSONAL DATA

The personal data of Users may be communicated to the following categories of recipients: a) Entities that provide services on behalf of ProfiMed, designated as data processors (e.g., hosting providers for the Site, IT service providers); b) Public or private entities (e.g., insurance companies, banks, legal consultants, public authorities, judicial bodies), who will process the data as independent data controllers.

Personal data will not be disseminated, except when necessary to fulfill legal obligations.

5. TRANSFER OF DATA OUTSIDE THE EUROPEAN ECONOMIC AREA

The personal data of Users will not be transferred outside the European Economic Area.

6. RETENTION PERIOD OF DATA

Browsing data is collected only through session cookies.

The retention of data voluntarily provided by Users (email address and/or any other personal data provided through the completion of contact forms or newsletter registration forms on the Site) is governed by the notices available on the relevant pages of the Site.

7. RIGHTS OF DATA SUBJECTS

Pursuant to Articles 15-22 of the GDPR, the User, as the data subject, may exercise specific rights by contacting the Data Controller, including:

  • Right of access: Request confirmation from the Data Controller as to whether personal data is being processed and, if so, request access to the relevant information.
  • Right of rectification: Request the Data Controller to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Right of erasure: Request the Data Controller to delete personal data.
  • Right to restriction of processing: Request the Data Controller to restrict processing.
  • Right to data portability: Request the Data Controller to provide personal data in a commonly used and machine-readable format or transmit it directly to another controller, where technically feasible.
  • Right to object: Object, in whole or in part, for legitimate reasons, to the processing of personal data.

Without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy, the User has the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority if they believe that the processing of their data violates the GDPR, as provided for in Article 77 of the GDPR.
